On Tuesday morning, Dan graciously took Elijah downstairs at 6:30am so I could sleep in. He and his mom had plans to take Elijah downtown to see his great grandma and I was scheduled to have the morning off. By 7:30am, Dan was waking me up to tell me we had to pack. Apparently, Dan's Google Calendar reminded him to "return from Seattle" that morning. After checking our itinerary, he realized we had been a day off all along. So, Tuesday morning was spent packing for our afternoon flight. It was sad to miss out on another day in Seattle, but honestly, we were happy to be going home.
The flights went great. It took less than 30 minutes to check in and get through security which is record timing when it comes to the Seattle airport. We soaked up our last vacation moments together, enjoyed mountain views and played with Eli until he fell asleep on Dan again.
The best part about coming home day early was having an entire day to regroup together. Dan had today off and we were able to sleep in and unpack a bit. Tomorrow, everything goes back to business as usual. Vacation is over.
