Surprise visit to the Meeksarosa

Our last road trip of the summer came and went too quickly. Last Wednesday, Eli and I took a drive over to Indy. We spent the afternoon with my sister and then we packed up their car and drove down to Nashville. It was an awesome surprise for my parents. We had a great time relaxing on the farm and visiting with family. Sadly, Dan had to stay behind for school and work. It was hard being away from him, but I think he got a lot done while we were gone. And now for the pictures:

Aunt Abby let her dying fish Chandler spend his last days peacefully in my parents pond. I am pretty sure he was eaten the second he hit the water, but whatever. It was the thought that counted.

Eli teaches Aunt Abby about eyes. He has been poking everyone in the eye lately while saying "ahhh"

Aunt Sally gets a checkup with the midwife (our mom!)

Aunt Abby does her part, taking Sarah's blood pressure. Cindy (my mom's assistant) also came by to visit us and see Eli for the first time since he was 6 weeks old.

Bon Fire!

Mom and I spent over 2 hours at Goodwill. It was the 1st Saturday of the month which means everything was 1/2 off!!! That cute little round yellow ottoman was $3! It's going in Eli's room.

It just so happened to be the kickoff of Notre Dame football season! They kicked butt. It was awesome. Grandmarmie taught Eli how to use the football clappers.
