We started celebrating the little guy's birthday with a trip to the zoo. We got there at 8am, both to beat the heat and to do our three favorite things before the free hour was over.
First, petting the sharks and sting rays.
Second, two carousal rides.
Last but not least, the children's zoo and a quick visit with the hippos.
After much needed naps (Lazzy did fall asleep for 10 minutes), we all enjoyed cupcakes from our neighborhood cupcake shop Sweet Art. Lazarus took a few minutes to dig into his, but after Dan encouraged him to taste it, he was sold!
Favorite thing number one was petting the stingrays and sharks. It was a fun and busy day. Lazzy was in bed by 6:30pm! I still cannot believe it's been a year since I gave birth to that little rascal. I look forward to watching him grow another year.
Happy Birthday! I love the photo with the thumb sucking. :) My youngest used to suck his thumb. I miss it. :)
