Lazarus was two weeks old on Tuesday. Eli and grandma midwife weighed Laz-he's a whopping 9 pounds already! His cheeks and thighs are beginning to show some real chub.
He is spending more time looking around during the day. He can focus on things now and will move his eyes with an object. Today, he found his hands and had a great time staring at them.
Lazarus made me proud this week when he found his thumb. After a few minutes of fussing during a nap, he quickly started sucking his thumb and happily put himself back to sleep. He's not been the best night time sleeper this week, but he does self sooth already and goes to sleep quickly without too much of a fuss. These things are all worth celebrating if you ask me. Even though I feel like a walking zombie, I wouldn't trade those late night cuddles for the world. Sure I'm tired, but I'll sleep when I'm 50. Right now, I'm enjoying this very short newborn stage.
OMG!!! He is sooo handsome!! AND i think it's oh hilarious that you took a picture *with the flash* of him asleep, sucking his thumb. AND, I think he has your nose! xo
