After a long night of slow progress, things have really picked up today. We took the kids to Tower Grove park to play in the water. The boys splashed in the fountains with the grandparents while I walked around and Flannery took a nap in the shade.
Elijah kept running over to me to use my dress as a towel for his face.
While there, my contractions really picked up, coming every 7-8 minutes and hurting enough to feel a little embarrassed about being in public. My dad picked up lunch and we ate at the Jensens where I believe labor really started to kick in. I really like laboring during the day. It's so much more fun to be outdoors with family and friends instead of laying in bed dreading the next contraction.
As of an hour ago, I am 4 centimeters dialated and 90% effaced. Things feel like they are moving fast now. Please pray that they continue to do so. Also, pray that I will be able to rely on the strength of our God, remembering the promises of His word and leaning on Him alone. I can't wait to meet little Lazarus!!!
Hopefully, this is the last belly shot we will get of little Laz. I am 40 weeks and 1 day. If all goes well today, Lazarus will come just like Elijah did-labor starting on the due date and born one day later.
