I saw the sign

Baby sign language is what got us through Elijah's toddler stage. It's amazing how many tantrums we dodged because our son was able to communicate his wants and needs. Not to mention he could understand us.

We've been demonstrating a few baby signs to Lazzy over the last month. Mealtime is the best time for teaching the most important signs like "help", "more", "please" and "all done".

If you're new to baby signing and want to check it out, this basic sign language chart is a great place to start. In my opinion, it demonstrates how to sign the most important words. Anything beyond this chart is probably found at an over achiever mom & baby playgroup. You know they exist.

I am proud to say that Lazarus has perfected the "all done" sign. Of course, he had to put his own spin on it: one open hand and one fist shaking in the air above his little fuzzy head.
Too. Cute.
